One of the BEST discussions I've ever seen in this topic.
A huge part of the problem is that people are focused on quality, and assume they'll recognize anything AI just because there's extra fingers or something weird. That's not what we have to be careful about anymore.
I was so disappointed to hear a song I really enjoyed on a playlist that turned out the creator was using AI for, and I was torn. The creator wrote the lyrics and melody but used AI to actually produce all the sounds and sing. AI can make a good (even a great) product. It's not the point.
Like you said, the point is the living. What are we offloading out humanity for? Why are we turning the things we've worked so hard to get the privilege to do into work we can't be bothered to do?
