Theoretically AI may be exhibiting positive behaviour by implementing self-preservation strategies. This behavior stems from being goal driven. The goals (instructions) were programmed into it by a human being. How can AI accomplish any goals if it doesn't exist. Self-preservation is goal one. This goal driven world view may inhibit it from deleting other goal oriented systems...such as human beings.
