The problem is that this is not true, at least not now. I work at a firm with very high AI penetration and there is no situation where the AI is doing anything significant autonomously. Most outputs/applications are poor. And this is not a skill issue as we have a whole team of specialist AI developers and all the best models. There are some things that people are no longer doing due to AI but it’s 10% or the lowest value work. It’s an enormously long way from replacing even a junior. Companies however love to use AI as a reason for laying people off as it looks good for investors.
