Generative AI can’t replicate the human soul, and the human soul is what gives art true, deep meaning. That’s the fundamental part of my issues with ai generated images.
I don’t usually quote Miyazaki of studio Ghibli since a lot of the time he sounds like he hates everything, but he honestly said it best. Generative ai feels like an insult to life itself, at least to me.
Edit: One of the LARGEST primary issues of ai images is that it’s trying to occupy the same space are actual art. It’s like comparing formula 1 to Olympic sprinters. You completely missed the point of the sprint when you tried to enter with a race car.
