With so many pressing issues, it's hard to really focus on a new one. We've been hearing existential threat so often now that it's almost lost its meaning. Maybe the best way to get action on AI subjects is to portray it as a threat to God and religious belief. Suggest that AI will eventually eliminate God from human society, things like that, and given some projections of what AI may do, this is not outside possibility.
