Great, so the area I live in is FULL of large-scale distribution warehouses. Everyone here was convinced these would be good for the local economy because they would bring in jobs, albeit the low-paying kind. For that reason we have tolerated the situation despite the MASSIVE amount of pollution and traffic introduced by all the rigs hauling stuff to and from them. Well, so much for the positive aspect! Unemployment for a huge chunk of barely skilled workers incoming, and they'll be replaced with the one person per warehouse needed to service these things, which will eventually also be replaced by a robot. It's a lose-lose, yay!
