I'm genuinely so happy that every day more people are getting sick of AI generated images. For a short while it really seemed like us artists were just the next group to be thrown under the bus by late stage capitalism but now I even see people who in the beginning were drooling over this "innovative technology" being fed up with how soulless AI slop is making our everyday lifes. How it managed to make advertizing even more unbearable and how the internet is flooded with automatically generated "content" at a rate that is burrying anything worth seeing. Also I think you got a point with "they're just defending their AI GFs". To some of these people AI really is the only source of love they get.
