Computers have been "smarter" than us for decades. Deep blue beating a grandmaster at chess perhaps was first. But lately AI only very recently was able to keep up and win a gold medal in mathematics. We are talking the top minds taking 8 hrs for answers. AI only just did it....in 8 hrs. Its not like they did it in 5 minutes. The other part of the pluses are simple experimentation. AI will never cure cancer. Its a nurse or diagnostic tool at best. Cures to all the major diseases take or took years of experiments. Experiments AI can't come close to understanding...... Yet
