In an ideal (or at least sensible) world, the convenience and efficiency of AI, doing most of the heavy lifting in the domain of work and productivity, should translate directly to benefits for the human race: less work for us means more time to pursue passions, increased productivity means more resources including money for us, etc. But you know it, big corporations benefiting from AI, making and saving even more money through increased productivity and reduced labour costs, aren't designed to share their spoils with humanity, but for maximum self profit. They're just here to get richer and richer, driving wealth disparity even wider. AI has the means to drive humans closer towards an utopia, but corporations, driven by self profit by design, won't even see or acknowledge that progressive route. It's already evident from the back to office mandates imposed by corporations after COVID showed we can WFH and still be productive.
