You know who this lowering degree requirements and using AI helps? ME, Now! Because I was doing degree level work for nothing due to not finishing mine due to reasons too long for this comment- but. I did the work I made the connections and now I can demand pay on experience. You know who it doesn't help? New job seekers that aren't established and that sucks. I wouldn't have had to go through a decade of hell to get a decent job and I'd be a better programmer if stupid barriers in the job pipeline were not in place, and one of the things I'm bitter about is people who do the correct thing and do better than I did turning 22 and signing up for the same time waste I was subjected to.
