My experience as a database developer, gladly, is the opposite - it's my team that's pushing for more AI in the company, but we're focused on the outcome, not on some flashy AI magic with no use, so the only tools that are introduced are the ones that WE tested and recommended, because they actually increase our productivity. We're also looking for a junior/mid right now, but there's an interesting story to it - the first stage of the recruitment, that the candidates with the best CVs go through, are logical exercises (~40 minutes) on a dedicated website. Before the job offer went online we discussed among the team, what mechanisms should we use to flag the candidates who decided to use AI to solve it, proving that they do not understand how AI should be used :) it works very well and our boss doesn't invite a single one of such candidates.
