I would also point out, because they've read everything and they are good at role playing, they can also make effective, inexpensive, psychologists. I wouldn't replace a professional with it, but you could certainly use it in addition to a real therapist, especially to help you in moments of need (panic attack, that kind of thing), when a therapist probably wouldn't be available. They great at lots of stuff. Coming up with recipes. Collating a lot of information (just paste a bunch of stuff into chat and ask it to make sense of it). I use them all day, every day. LLMs are completely integrated into my workflow at work. As a software developer, I use them to write software, I use them in my software to make my software smarter and more capable. I use them to analyze data, format data, tell me how to do stuff I haven't done before. LLMs have made my work life immeasurably better.
