what frustrates me is the whole "when they're smarter than us" thing. like... dogs aren't smarter than humans. but they can DEFINITELY kill humans. sometimes because they've been trained to, sometimes because they're scared, sometimes just because they messed up. I feel like we're at a much higher risk of being destroyed (as humanity as a whole) by an AI coded poorly or maliciously than one becoming independent
