Wonderful discussion. Replication is not Inspiration; it's plagiarism. As a professional ttrpg writer, I'm genuinely terrified by companies like Hasbro considering generative AI to write (and illustrate) its books. Genuine creation is one of the most life-affirming things an artist can do. Yes, I take inspiration from stories and art, but the heart of the story is shaped by my experiences, ideas, and nightmares (I write a lotta horror XD). Look at _The Medium_ by Bloober. They were inspired by *Zdzisław Beksiński's* art, and created an entire game around its aesthetics. But the _soul_ of the story is theirs. (Which, in turn, inspired me to start collecting Beksiński's artwork... much to the consternation of anyone who visits' my house XD)
