I think we forget that the reason this is a problem is because you cant simply boycott walmart or big companies to prevent this behavior. If the means of production wasnt so far removed from normal people then these threats to society would be naturally discouraged.
Make it so companies have to hire Ai workers from normal people instead outright buying them. Each person gets an agent that works for them for cheaper and syphons money to them, cutting into the profit margins of eliminating the workforce but in a way that syphons those profits into the people while they gain back their time.
Companies still profit, workers profit, theres regulation and puts a limit of of much money can be taken from the civilian nation cashflow
