Art is art as far as I'm concerned. Who cares if someone used AI vs actual talent. The art was made regardless of its medium and wouldn't exist without it. Art has always been about inspiration, imitation, and transformation, and the use of AI in art is just a modern extension of that long standing tradition. I for one am glad AI art is a thing. There is now more creativity and almost anyone can contribute with images, concepts, and transformations that would normally not have existed otherwise. I feel like the AI art hate is rather gatekeepy and weird. If you are good at drawing, that will always remain and no AI generated art will take that away from you. No amount of AI art will damage profits or recognition because lets face it, digital art has never been crazy profitable. If you want to make art that makes money and makes a name for yourself, stick to real world applications such as painting or sketching. That's what my family does and they make a lot of money from it.
