Someone must has made similar speech when Steam Engine invented in 17th century. Without A.I those jobs still get outsourced to 3rd world country, with actually create new jobs as human still have to monitor and fine tune the A.I. This same as engineers were hired for the operation and maintenance of steam engine when after factory retrenched factory workers. Bernie should also factor in human population is rapidly decline in developed word due to low birth rate, machine is required to fill up the vacuum left by the aging population.
