I would also like to point out that AI is indeed an important era of human civilization, just as important as the Industrial Revolution. At some point, however, we will learn that the most important thing is data. The next era after the AI era will be the data era where we will spend ever more money on collecting data whether it be a new particle accelerator or the next telescope. AI will guide us in creating all and every scientific apparatus to gather as much data on everything possible in order to understand and utilize all aspects of reality to the maximum.
