The reason these people get so heated is the same reason the NFT bros got gay baby mad: they made AI art part of their personality, their online persona, and pretended that demanding a computer do work for them made them hard workers.
I use AI for shit too, I've been using AI to cowrite stories for my own personal enjoyment, and while it's *engaging*, I'm not going to sit here and pretend it's better than human. It's not even better at writing than *me*.
I know you expect me to say something self depricating about the quality of my writing, but I know I'm a good writer, I'm just terrible with writer's block and fall out of love with a story before I finish, which is why I don't publish things.
