As a retired aircraft mechanic, I feel "hands on" careers are often overlooked. Thank goodness there are jobs AI can't do no matter how smart it gets. I do worry that millions of people will have trouble finding good careers in the future. Our worry used to be: "what career can I pursue that they can't send out of the country?". Now it will be:" what if my chosen field goes AI when I've spent many years and thousands of dollars learning it?" I feel this will make governments and corporations stronger and more overbearing and the rights of citizens and societies will diminish over time.
