Poor use of Stargate reference. Yes it is seen as a Pandora's box by every bad government guy in the shows... But, it is emphasized several times that the Stargate isnt a bad thing, rather it helps thrust humanity forward towards progression. And because of the Stargate, humanity freed 3 galaxies, (gould, wraiths, and orai) from the clutches of slavery and torture. The Stargate is an opportunity. That's why SG1 blindly went through it everyday. Now I thought the AI discussion was good, but then you made it a point to use Stargate to fit this idea of AI that you want to convey.
