If you just enjoy creating art...nothing has changed. Enjoy it, dont look too much on competition or the market!
If you want to make money with art - well then you have to compete, and the AI competition is getting harder and harder by the day. Yes, if you are actually a really good artist you wont have to fear getting no jobs for quite some time, that is simply still out of reach for AI and will be for a long time.
However for lower/medium tier artists this is getting very very difficult on the public market. If a buyer wants a simple artwork for little money, AI simply offers more for less money than many of the comissions you see online.
