If AI powered robots can do human work, then from the perspective of those who controls AI (lets call them VIP human), humans are not needed, at least they don't need that many humans, they would want to divide humans into a few categories: sub-AI humans who will do labour that is too costly for AI to do, and they work like slaves in the worst possible conditions; entertainment humans who will do the work that entertains VIP humans; thats it, the rest can be sent to factories to be boiled to produce oil.
