I feel like accountability in this instance shouldn’t be complicated. Did Waymo’s software decide to pass a stopped school bus? If so, Waymo is accountable and should “lose their license” until extensive testing is done to show that has been corrected. These systems aren’t people, they shouldn’t get a benefit of the doubt. If it’s not perfect it shouldn’t be on the road. These things are not human and shouldn’t get any room for error.
