Okay, I will be honest. I don't see how failure of Ai will affect American economy much.
Everyday people are not really benefiting from Ai investment. I would argue most of these account for very specific nieches and those who directly work on Ai are either already successful (I don't think Microsoft is calling for interns and local construction workers to make their data centers.) I do think it will create a big issue for a month or two before things stablize but I would also like to argue the down sides of Ai is currently creating bigger problems than future potential downfall of Ai will cause.
Chip shortages itself is a bigger issue that far outweighs the potential damage of downfall of Ai.
I may be biased as I am not from America and I don't think many other countries are investing in Ai as much as America, Only other I can think of is China and they like to keep things private.
So, I just think Collapse of Ai will be a wonderful scenary to sea from the see.
