A bit of context for the shooting he glossed over. The man was a normal man with no violent history or anything like that. After getting put on the heat list the cops would visit his home and place of work often, because of the increased police presence around him people thought he was an informant and he got a reputation as a snitch.
When he got shot it was an acquaintance calling his cell phone asking him to come outside and talk about the police being in contact with him so much, when he was walking back into his home he was shot in a drive-by.
The AI's faulty prediction caused the police to hover around him, that caused people to think he was a snitch leading to him getting shot. a self-fulfilling prophecy if you will, him getting shot would not have happened if not for the AI's prediction.
