I still dont believe the idea that any blue collar work is safe from ai. The only reason it looks like white collar stuff is gonna be replaced is because we got omegabytes of data for all those jobs across all those industries. If we had as much training data on blue collar, like moving stuff, and walking around, and fixin a pipe, as we do on the white collar stuff, blue collar would already be replaced by robots and ai. If the tech dudes got like 5% of blue collar workers to wear some kinda cameras or fuggin gloves and whatever to gather data to train on their jobs, blue collar would be over in 5 years even if ai models never got better past this point. But if ai dont get better past this point i think white collar will stay open for business as the models just aint smart enough to fully automate the kinda thinking thats needed yet. But then at the point you had that data its still a problem of robotics. But i think that problem is getting solved pretty dang well at the moment. Anyway. UBI? When? Sure maybe like not this exact second, but i hope they are ramping up on how to do it behind the scenes or else they gonna have alot of hungery people knocking on their doors. Or i mean i hope they got at least some kinda plan.
