I really only started being serious about art again in high school. It took about 7 years (meaning about last year??) for me to feel like I could kind of stand alongside my other artist friends in terms of quality. Even now, I feel like I've much improved since last year, and there's still lots I haven't learned yet. You are born with an interest and a drive, not a gift. Sure, some people are quicker to learn than others, but it's the same with every other skill, isn't it?? Art is a very special one, where even an amateur piece has intention and purpose in the ideas and passion behind it. To create makes us human. To pretend that a robot can do that better than you is,,,, yeah, very sad.
