I heavily disagree with the sentiment Pollock bad. His art looks "fine" and has some intentionality to it's actual execution, layes, colour choices that I might or might not find appealing. I can theoretically ask how he got some specific stroke or splotch onto the literal canvas. The AI pollock is a lot more interesting than the midjourney candy floss tree one because the latter's composition is boring and amateur, and the colours are kinda safe and evocative of crap like massmarket, focus-tested marketing trash, like overwatch. the AI pollock is an imitation of a style, while the fantasy slop is an imitation of an imitation. There's nothing there but the vibe of an impression.
