As I evaluate what we've done, I anticipate natural hominid and A.I. hominid species living alongside each other, having eventually settled into a relative equality, different intelligences settling into different Galapagos finch niches. Obviously, if we created A.I. that was generally and diversely superior to hominids, they would probably extinct us. I already made this decision; the Science that's been done can't be undone. See, human society as it stands today is ignoble and pernicious. We need revolutions in various fields; the status quo is morally and otherwise unacceptable.
