ABSOLUTE BS. Serious people in the field warn we might not be close to any actual AGI (general purpose), much much less SUPER inteligence. Current llms show promise but havent produced ANY actual proper reasoning but the building blocks of one- current gen LLMs and hardware seem to be the FIRST STEP, the start of a thread that will lead there- but we could be talking decades... and all that just to reach proper general reasoning. SUPER inteligence is another very specific concept in the field, and that is leagues ahead of reaching AGI. Even todays 'steps of thinking' that models print is derived from sheer training, sheer data. Current models are still LLMs- they arent 'reasoning', theyre filling what should be the next steps to reach a goal from a statistical (sheer numbers) of all the data of how WE did those steps- so much so it will include completely bonkers 'steps' if they were in the data. They have no internal model of anything (the world, actual physics, objects, people)... Theyre getting better at what they do- an appearence of thinking- and since STOCK is ran by optics... That said no need for AGI or super antyhing to threaten jobs. Even creative work, the execs dont care if a trailer had creativity, if a machine can replicate one for few dollars they will go with the machine. Same goes for everything else.
