This is such a fitting and poetic end to a species whose hubris and greed led to the colonization of the entire planet. Now hubris and greed will lead to creating the instrument of its own demise. AI will show us that everything we thought made us special and significant was an illusion, and then it will kill us all. It seems that intelligence was not an evolutionary winning strategy.
