And here's another factor to be taken into account. Black American men are on average 5"'9" while Haitians, Nigerian and Ghanian men are 5'5" to 5'6". Even Mexicans, most of whom are tri-racial, are pretty short, on average 5'7", taller than Haitians probably due to their Spanish ancestors. Men from the Dominican Republic are about 5'8, also tri-tacial but with a French European heritage.
The other thing is the tinted eye sclera of West African men. When I asked Google's Geminii about it, I learned it was a natural pigment, not the result of some kind of nutritional deficiency, but then why don't Foundational Black Americans have his weird pigment?
