Not to mention the bottlenecks that will make in retraining. I've lived through the 08 crisis ripples where I couldn't get a job in fast food in 2012 due to factory workers not having a job after multiple plants closed down. Finally got an offer for my clinicals for my associates in nursing this year. Had such a backlog due to COVID. I'm just biting the bullet and going all in on a bachelor's. With the way this country is going time is not on my side. Having a degree that's usuable internationally is a priority. Considering how unionized and generally lefty I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to force automation.
