Their argument that their AI was equivalent to a researcher writing a paper is disingenuous. Their AI may be doing the same thing as a researcher but whereas a research's paper or article will have the reach of perhaps thousands, maybe millions over a lifetime. The reach of the AI model and the associated income could reach billions in a short period of time.
