Here's the thing. If jobs get replaced by AI and robots, and most of us are jobless and poor, who do you think is going to buy iphonees and Nintendo switches, or cars, or going out to eat? The rich need the system to keep going, the economy needs the flow of money to work. They will race to be the first to save in labor, sure, but the entire world being jobless will lead governments and corporations to have bigger taxes and universal income...
And thats the thing, its not about the money. Its about control. When we all get an allowance for food/rent, we are going to be easier to control. Thats the endgame
