I am not afraid at the moment.
Achieving the current intelligence came by scaling of input in form of written content. This is almost maxed out.
The next scaling hope is compute time which quickly rises AI cost for new infrastructure and in near term for more and cheap energy. This is a bottle neck to scale this way that will stay for several years. And it remains to be seen if the improvements in intelligence outweigh the investment cost.
The human brain is very energy efficient.
