Yep, you nailed it. And why the f*** did management not understand this before sacking everybody, and replacing with AI. It seems that many companies starting enabling use of AI across their workforce without defining why or how, no instruction, no training. In fact I've noticed a lot of companies have little to no training - yet new features get added to software all the time, to ServiceNow, to Excel, Teams, and staff are left floundering without any notice of new features, and no training.
