I don’t like Tesla, but I believe they have the most advanced autonomous driving system. LiDAR is expensive, not as aerodynamic and Computer Vision is simpler. Computer Vision is all autonomous cars need because that’s all people need.
Also, your car crash argument is misleading at best, and malfeasance at worst. Telsa is way larger than Waymo and has more vehicles that can operate almost everywhere unlike Waymo’s cherry-picked areas.
