You still need to test and verify what the AI gives you. Can the AI gather project requirements, interact with stakeholders, engage other team members, open support tickets with third party vendors, answer questions in chat, and various other tasks?
I don’t see myself as a coder anymore (I’ve programmed a chess engine that can play against itself). I am a problem solver.
Now, I admit that I use AI a lot. I have become more efficient and productive with it. But I still have the power to move things along and to discern.
For example: I never cared for learning regex, and I always looked up anything that I needed to do with it. Now, ChatGPT can do it for me faster.
