yes... "overwhelmed" is 100% an accurate word here. TBH I was extremely resistant to using AI and even now I prefer AI to only assist me (with repetitive tasks, simple code, boiler plates, auto completions, etc) rather than outright write code for me. It just feels like a black box, where if everything works as intended, ok cool... but if not, I might as well start over from scratch. I've recently tried vibe coding with AI... and this exact thing happened, at the same time like you said... I don't want to effectively waste time on leetcode when very little of any of that stuff actually carries over to work or anything meaningful. It just feels hopeless or maybe like I am lacking a clear direction... I imagine ppl who have "mentors" or already employed under a decent senior dev, who they can kinda learn from are thanking their lucky stars. I also imagine Imposter syndrome is at an all time high... since you know... people got into the field that is no longer what they know, and are left feeling like they know nothing at all (feeling lost)...
