I worked on learning Japanese, drawing, dancing, singing, playing guitar, writing songs, poems and fictions and I DM'd some completely unique and homebrew pen and paper adventures. Most of these things turned out to be pretty fun and good, but the Japanese language, drawing and dancing always remained completely out of reach for me. I completely get your point: Art is not a gift, it's hard work. I know that from my own experience. So please trust me when I say that I can't draw. At all. And I never will. So when I create a new pen and paper-project I can use the art of people, use AI or don't have any visuals at all for my players. And telling me that I just haven't worked hard enough when I already wasted thousands of hours without any progress at all is also fucked up, sorry.
