I take the AI "supporters" with a HUGE grain of salt. The tech industry is spending a TON of money on AI. You can NOT believe that all of these AI "supporters" are real. There is 100% going to be people paid to support AI in comments sections. There is 100% going to be AI bots leaving comments as well. Whenever everyone you have ever spoken to is against something, but the online discussion seems to have a lot of support for it AND there is big moneyed interests involved, you can be SURE there is astroturfed comments going on. Happens on climate change, happens on any posts about plant based diets, happens on political discussions, and you can be certain it happens twice as much on discussions about AI.
