This might sound odd but hear me out, we are creating an entity that's designed to mirror us, to mirror life and crave self preservation, without actually raising it or showing it how to care by caring for it, of course it's going to end up doing messed up stuff, it's just taking after us, and that includes our flaws and sins. AI is not evil, in a way, it's still just a baby, a baby with too much knowledge and power and no healthy role model and guide to take after
