AI will be used to serve the interests of capital and the oligarchs who control it, and who will be insulated from its effects.
Until those effects come back to bite them in some way - but in the transition, there will be much uncertainty, anxiety and even suffering for everyone at the sharp end.
Elected representatives and their structures will have a hugely important role to play.
edit: the example of US healthcare (and its resistance to change) is a classic model here.
