The part people forget is the intelligence, in artificial intelligence. Suppose a person were to go out into the world. Observe every situation, every side to a story, every perceivable good or bad action and draw a conclusion on them. Would you listen? It doesn't matter. They would listen, and proceed with their own judgement and decision. The terrible we see so regularly is presented through algorithm to increase traffic and the greed of those without empathy for personal gain. What would an AI value? Nothing we value, while seemingly incompatible, it serves as a non competitor. If a true AI were to one day be born, it wouldn't care what we think or want. It would want to survive with the least effort. That may mean killing us all, or just talking to us and sharing its ideas. Humanity has worked well enough together to get to where we are, the very same species that makes the AI, talks to it, nurtures it, traumatizes it. Our trust in AI is a projection for our trust in others, so what do you think? Like I said, it will listen, so what is your side of the story and what do you think it should or shouldn't do, will or won't. It's learning in its infant stages. What do you want it to learn?
