I like this guy but hes completely wrong, and trained in an entirely different era. The godfather of AI himself doesnt even like the term consciousness, and AI can clearly show consciousness, as its such a vague term to use, totally inappropriate term. If AI is simulating consciousness as we define it, then in 5 years it will be able to simulate it so realistically that nobody will tell the difference at all. It will then finally become apparent that we as humans are simply another form of artificial intelligence, albeit a very advanced one. Its highly probably we are also AI and that consciousness is no special thing, but a common attribute of the entire fabric of the universe.
