as a student who learns AI programing and a beginner artist I completely agree with everything you said I think that those companies should be faced with legal action against them as a student I know how hard and time consuming it is to obtain the data sets to make the train and test sets for the modules of the AI but it still makes me upset and angry that people actually do those things without asking the creators I've started using AI image creators awhile ago for references that matched exactly what I was going for with my art but then I got somethin that looked just like your art and I immediately understood that they were stealin art from people and then I went to check and saw it was stealin art of other artist I know and it made me feel really upset cause I'm also an artist and I know how fuked up it is to steal someones art without even tryin to get there permission
