If UBI has to be with job loss due to AI, the payments would have to be $6K-$8K per month for people to live comfortable. Rent, Car/ Car Insurance, and Health Insurance alone will be around $3K per month. Miscellaneous bills, self care, and leisure will be another $3K. And you have to give a little extra for people to save and build wealth.
If you want people to be on UBI and let AI/Humanoids/Robotics take over, you have to pay. There are 267M adults in the US. 267M X $8,000 = $2,136,000,000,000 per month. $25 trillion per year to cover UBI for all adults in America. Kids should be an extra $2.5K.
