yup, I just realized this too halfway through writing my novel, I basically used chatgpt to do a publish pass or help me edit my story to make the flow better.
the more I went on the more disconnected I felt towards my work
it's like I'm just giving the ideas to ai so it can write the story and slap my name on it.
